Alley Studio

Formerly a skinny garage on a little alley, this building was expanded and reimagined as a studio with sleeping loft above. The studio is behind the main house and faces into the yard between the two. An engaging facade was created with a folding overhead glass and steel bi-fold door. When opened, the space flows from yard to the sunken interior. Concrete floors, walls, and the steel make this feel like a petite industrial building. The garage space is adjacent to this, opening to the alley.
